The 'Shady Lady' is in very good condition with a reliable Yanmar Diesel engine, newer sails and canvas work and is simple enough that it can be single handed. Galley with propane stove and pressure fresh water. Large Ice box with refrigeration available. Propane grill and cockpit folding table. Small head with separate sink and Natures Head (composting, not your typical marine head).
The boat sails great and is a perfect fit for a cruising couple or small family who wants to explore some of the great cruising grounds of the Chesapeake Bay in the vicinity of Annapolis. The max sleeping arrangement would be a couple forward in v berth, with one (or a tight two) on stbd side fold out berth and one in quarter berth. The port side seating could sleep an additional kid.
She is berthed at a marina in Galesville, MD on the West River. Location is ideally suited for local gunk holing on the Rhode River, a sail across the Bay to St. Michaels or the Wye River, a weekend in Annapolis or other cruising destinations on the Bay.
I am happy to provide cruising itinerary suggestions and provide local knowledge into the cruising area. While I love getting people on the water, please no beginners or those who are not confident in their ability to sail and maneuver a 30ft sailboat. Certifications or detailed qualifications/resume are required. The Shady Lady is my family's home away from home and I only rent her to assist with marina costs. I prefer to meet beforehand onboard prior to agreeing to rental to ensure we are both comfortable with the arrangement and to conduct the walk through at that point. If that isn't possible, increased communication is imperative prior to rental agreement.
Fuel charge - buyer either fuels and leaves receipt aboard or $2 per total hour run. If under 3 hours or less used, there is no fuel charge.
