"Hat Snatcher" is a most popular and easy to sail cabin cruiser! It's a very comfortable day sailing Catalina 27' and fun as a weekender. It's 4 ft. draft fixed keel is great for navigating SF Bay inlets and 9'6" beam is stable - she's known well as a coastal cruiser. It sleeps 5 all in berths - including 2 in v-berth. The self-tacking jib (club-footed to a traveler) makes 25knots a breeze, and the main sail has a built in reefing point that's easy to adjust for higher winds. The full dodger offers wind protection in the cockpit, and also protects the wide hatch opening to the cabin in heavier weather.
Large built in galley ice box and mini-fridge for day sailing, picnicking - or weekend long anchorages without coming ashore for supplies.

- Easy to start lightweight and fuel efficient Evinrude Yachtwin 6 hp outboard moves the boat along at 5 knots, and raises easily and partially into back of cockpit to eliminate drag under sail power. 12 Gallon fuel capacity allows approximately 20 nautical miles of motoryacht power before refueling the 2-stroke motor oil/gas mixture. The outboard engine is a 4amp charger to two 12v hybrid marine/starter batteries in parallel.
- Batteries provide 150 amp hours to 12v cabin lights and a 1500 watt inverter for enough 110v power to keep a laptop, phone, and the fridge running all day.

- All safety features to code; including two fire extinguishers, flares, lifesling and medical kit. Most recent professional marine surveyor approvals for rigging condition, was 5/28/15. A hull/keel/spade rudder cleaning & inpection was last performed 6/5/15 - a 3/4 inch through hull ball valve for water pressure was replaced and new as well as 1-1/2 inch ball valve to macerator for waste pump out - all to U.S. Coast Guard specifications.
