Captain Michael started sailing more than 20 years ago and since then the awesome expanses of the oceans called ever stronger. He went from smaller boats, to bigger boats, eventually rebuilding, living aboard and traveling on his 37-foot Endeavour sloop. His sailing adventures have taken him all over the world, from the Caribbean to the Mediterranean and all parts of the US coastline, including Florida, the Gulf of Mexico, San Francisco, San Diego Bay and of course right here in New York Harbor. Along the way he picked up American Sailing Association certifications for teaching almost every class they offer, from the entry level 101 class, to Advanced Coastal Cruising and Catamarans. In 2015, Michael joined the Manhattan Yacht Club and has raced on both the J24s, and as a member of the America II 12M program. He is a part-time instructor at the Manhattan Sailing School and also brings a great background in sailboat maintenance, repair and refit. Captain Michael holds a US Coast Guard Master rating with Sailing Endorsement.
