Personal statement Hello, My name is Nick Hallahan. I grew up boating at the lake of the Ozarks. I'm currently living in Naples, Florida. I have my 50 ton master USCG license and also have my STCW certification. I enjoy being on the water and also allowing people to enjoy the water while being safe. Throughout my experience while working on several different types of boats, I have a personal goal to treat every vessel as if it was my own. I find this to be a great attribute in this industry because attention to detail is everything. Serving as a crewmember on only one main vessel I have learned discipline and to work beyond my normal protocol. I have worked with a group of people and play a huge part of my team. I am recognized for my positive attitude, great sense of humor, and working to the best of my ability in any condition.
Maritime experience All of my life I have been around boats. My parents have given my brother, sister and I wonderful opportunities to be exposed to the marine industry. I grew up boating on Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. I Have captained for many people throughout the years to keep the lake a safer place to boat. I have an excellent understanding of many different types of boats, electrical and the many systems that these yachts are equipped with. I am also extremely aware of the professional etiquette that this business possess and carry myself with class in every occasion. I am also knowledgeable of nautical terminology and proper yacht detailing/handeling skills. I have transported a boat down the Tenn-Tom to Long Boat Key Florida which is a part of the Great American Loop. We crossed 16 locks and dams throughout the trip.
