I served for 31 years in the U.S. Coast Guard. My career was spent working aboard ships ranging between 95'-378'. My duties included serving as deck watch officer, operations officer and 1Lt. I was responsible for conning the ship, deck evolutions to include launching and recovering ships small boats, anchoring, refueling, etc. I served as Commanding Officer of three of South Florida's busiest search and rescue stations, Stations Lake Worth, Fort Pierce and Key West among others. I was responsible for the supervision and training of 50+ active duty service members. I operated vessels ranging from 13' to 65' including single and twin screw and jet drives. I am familiar with most modern electronics and systems. Since retirement I have started my own company and work as a subcontractor for the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators. I train federal, state and locale law enforcement and fire fighter boat operations. I hold a national certification for teaching adult learning techniques. Additionally, I served as a Federal Law Enforcement Officer and am qualified to carry as need and requested. I am a combat veteran, I served aboard a 110' coastal patrol board in the North Arabian Gulf. I am storm tested and combat proven.
