I am licensed USCG Captain and Engineer with 25 years of maritime and boating experience. As a native of New England, I grew up learning my way around a boat and have experience from small dinghies to large merchant and military vessels. My career has included several transatlantic and transpacific crossing, as well as a circumnavigation of the globe that took me through the Suez and Panama Canals. Hundreds of sailing lessons taught, charters on vessels ranging from 24' to 100'+', including several week long Caribbean charters to over a dozen islands.
I am a long time professional mariner with over 25 years of experience, including sailing instruction, sailboat racing, dozens of day and overnight trips in the US and Caribbean, and an extensive resume of all types of sail and power vessel from under 10' to over 100'. My commercial and military experience includes one circumnavigation of the World aboard a fast attack submarine, transits through the Suez and Panama Canals, three Atlantic Ocean Crossings including three transits through the Straits of Gibraltar, one Pacific Ocean crossing, three transits through the Caribbean, as wells a multiple transits through various international straits and narrows. American Sailing Association Certified Instruction. Certified Safe Boater in Connecticut and New Hampshire. Extensive personal and professional experience in Long Island Sound and New York City, the Connecticut, Mystic, and Housatonic Rivers, Block Island Sound, and Rhode Island to the Cape and the Islands.
