Will you be visiting South Florida this fall? Perhaps you’re considering destinations to visit and ports of call to enjoy while you get away from the snows of the north. On the other hand, you could simply be a boating enthusiast who wants to explore all there is in the world of boating. Whatever the case, the 2020 Fort Lauderdale Boat Show is a must-experience event.

About the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show

Held in Fort Lauderdale every year in the fall, the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show will enter its 61st year in 2020. It spans seven different locations in town and offers millions of square feet of exhibition space. You’ll find six miles of docks alone, as well as 1,200 different exhibitors, with over 1,500 individual boats on display. In previous years, the show has had more than 110,000 visitors flock to the city each year.

When and Where

The 2020 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show runs from Wednesday, October 28th through Sunday, November 1st. Note that a Prime Time Preview is available on Wednesday, Oct. 28th from noon to 7 PM if you want to beat the crowds and see what the show is all about.

Boats on Display

While Fort Lauderdale might be known as the yachting capital of the world, there’s much more to enjoy during the boat show. Of course, you’ll find motor yachts and even superyachts, but there are also sailing yachts, express cruisers, cabin cruisers, skiffs, and even inflatables on offer.

If you have ever wanted to get up close and personal with a particular type of boat, whether to see if it’s right for you to purchase, or just to explore and learn about, you’ll discover it here. You’ll also find a number of supercars on display here, giving you an intimate glimpse of luxury travel in all its forms.

Food and Drink

As you would expect from an international show of this caliber, there will be plenty of food and drink available for show-goers. According to festival planners, there will be over 100 different food vendors in attendance. You’ll be able to sample everything from lobster and fresh seafood to burgers and hot dogs, pizza, and street tacos. There’s a food option for everyone in the family, no matter how much of a picky eater they might be.
