Most people know Annapolis as one of the East Coast’s top boating destinations, however lesser-known this city is also home to a vibrant LGBTQ+ community, and there are several events and organizations dedicated to promoting pride and inclusivity on land and over the water.
In 2018, Annapolis joined the list of cities hosting PRIDE parades and festivals led by Annapolis Pride, whose mission is to “celebrate the LGBTQ+ community, engaging local residents, businesses and groups to unite in welcoming and embracing diversity in Annapolis.”

Chicago PRIDE Parade
Every year Chicago hosts an iconic PRIDE parade! Chicago’s first Pride Parade took place on June 27, 1970. It was a modest event, with just a few hundred participants marching through the streets of Lakeview, a neighborhood on the city’s North Side that has long been a hub for LGBTQ+ culture and activism.
Hard to imagine with the iconic Chicago PRIDE Parade we’ve come to know about and LOVE. If you’re looking to attend keep in mind, this is a peopled event. In recent years, organizers have estimated that the parade draws between 1 and 1.5 million people annually. Also good to know, these are some of the most lovely people you will come to know.

San Francisco PRIDE Festival
