This spring, Boatsetter is leaning into what the data is telling us: people want to be outside, together, and on the water. The Florida Keys and fishing are a natural fit to meet this need.

The demand is already showing up in how people are booking.

Center consoles are the most commonly booked boat during spring break, and captained fishing charters are up 22% year to date, signaling clear demand for a different type of spring break, one focused on adventure.

To bring that movement to life on the road in the Keys, Boatsetter and Xtratuf created something you can’t miss: a traveling one-of-a-kind tackle truck designed to celebrate fishing culture and the people who make it possible.

The centerpiece is a 1988 Jeep Comanche, outfitted with an eight-foot taxidermy tarpon structure created with Gray Taxidermy, a true symbol of Florida fishing culture. The truck is designed to spark curiosity and conversation while reminding travelers and locals alike to disconnect, get outside, and cast a line.

As the truck journeys through the Keys, it will stop at docks, local businesses, and marinas to meet with Boatsetter Owners, Captains, and anglers who make this fishing community totally unique. Each stop is a chance to meet locals, swap fishing stories, and celebrate the culture that has defined this stretch of islands for generations.

Because fishing in the Keys has never just been about the catch. It’s also about the people you meet along the way. Community is at the heart of it all, something many people are craving more than ever.

The owner of the truck Dylan is a top Boatsetter Owner, explained “I wanted to get involved with a campaign that inspires people to get outdoors. I spend most of my time outside — whether it’s on a boat, free diving or skiing in Japan. The outdoors has been the most influential part of my life.”

He’s not alone. In the same survey, 74% of respondents said time outdoors or on the water benefits their mental health more than meditation apps or digital wellness tools. When asked what experience they want more of in 2026, the top answer was simple: being on the water with friends.

Because boat days and road trips aren’t defined by destinations — they’re shaped by the people you share them with.

Follow along on Instagram and if you’re in the Upper Keys this week snag a chance to see the Tackle Truck on the road.
