I am a lifelong boater. Born the youngest of 7 in Long Island, New York, I grew up racing sailboats on the Great South Bay. My professional maritime career began like many of us in the industry...painting bottoms! Those experiences would be the foundation for a long list of boating experiences that span most every major body of water in the US, as well as many abroad. My first overseas experience would be a tour of the Persian Gulf, Adriatic Sea and Mediterranean aboard the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt during Desert Storm. In 2000, together with my brother, we would introduce "Protector Boats" to the US market, where I had the opportunity to navigate rescue boats in most every condition you could imagine. I have given test rides to the likes of the Commandant of the US Coast Guard in the Potomac, the Navy Seals in the Chesapeake and many other municipalities around the country. I've had the opportunity to run boats of all types and sizes in the Atlantic, Pacific, Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean, Great Lakes, Mississippi River, Puget Sound, San Francisco Bay, and many other bodies of water. Needless to say, I've seen my share of coastline! In the 2000's, I spent a lot of time around the sailing community, running committee boats for Block Island Race Week, Key West Race Week, The Whitbred Challenge, the TP52 World Championships and many other major regattas. If I wasn't running a committee boat or support boat, I was likely in the heat of the action, navigating the race courses with some of the most notable photographers in the yacht racing world. Sharon Greene, Walter Cooper and Daniel Forester to name a few. One of the most memorable experiences was to be a part of the America's Cup 12 Meter team "Freedom", where we would win the "Modern Division" at the biggest gathering of Cup boats in history - the 2001 America's Cup Jubilee in Cowes, England. Most recently, I have co-founded a marine manufacturing business, Custom Marine Plastics in West Palm Beach, and have been managing boat logistics and transportation throughout the new millennium. It's safe to say that seawater flows through my veins!! It gives me great pleasure to be a part of the Boatsetter team, where my love of the "Salt Life" will only continue to blossom. I look forward to being a part of your boating experiences - Anchors Aweigh!!!
