✅ **Requirements**
- **Renter must be 21+ years old** with a valid government-issued ID.
- **Driver must be 25+ years old**, experienced, and present during the safety briefing.
- Max **8 or 10 passengers** on board – this includes children and infants.

🚫 **Prohibited Activities**
- **NO drinking and operating the boat** – zero tolerance for boating under the influence (BUI). Violators will be reported to law enforcement.
- **NO smoking or vaping** on board.
- **NO pets** unless prior approval is granted.
- **NO beaching the boat** or entering shallow, rocky areas.

⏰ **Rental Times & Late Fees**
- Rentals begin **at the agreed time** – late arrivals do not extend rental period.
- A **$50 late return fee** applies for every 15 minutes past the agreed return time.

🛟 **Safety Rules**
- Life jackets are provided and **must be worn by all passengers under 13** (California law).
- All renters must complete a **safety walkthrough and rules briefing** before departure.
- The boat must be operated **at safe speeds and according to posted lake regulations**.
- No night boating – all rentals must end **before sunset** unless otherwise agreed.

- **Renter is fully responsible** for any damage, loss, or towing expenses during the rental period.
- A **security deposit** may be required and is fully refundable pending post-inspection.
- We are not liable for **injuries, lost items, or accidents** due to renter negligence.
- The renter agrees to operate the boat responsibly and follow **all state/local boating laws**.

- 50% refund if cancelled **24–72 hours in advance**.

- Free cancellations until 5 days before the booking start time.
- 50% refund for cancellations between 3-5 days before the booking start time.
- Cancellations within 2 days of the booking start time are non-refundable.
Security deposit
A security deposit hold (not a charge) will be placed on your credit card 48 hours before your booking starts to cover any incidental damage that may occur during your rental. This hold is released 48 hours after the booking is complete, if no claims are made. The security deposit amount for the boat you are booking will be outlined during the check-out process.
