We had a great time on Ian's boat, it was the perfect size for our group of 5. Communication was great before and during the rental, highly recommended!

Renting from Ian went smoothly and the boat is pretty much brand new! The weather forecast threw a wrench in our plans but Ian let us change the dates so we didn't get rained on. We're already planning a date rent again!

Would give 10 stars if I could! The rental couldn’t have gone smoother and Ian couldn’t have been a more accommodating and a well prepared owner. Super nice guy, on time, conscientious, flexible, and willing to offer extra time since we were a couple minutes late. The boat itself is like new, had all safety equipment, and everything worked as advertised. Ian took the time to show us how to Bluetooth a phone to the boats stereo. He also met me the next pay to accept cash for the fuel used, when PayPal said 3-5 days to add money. Will definitely rent from him next time I want a boat!!

Ian provided an excellent overview of the boat and all features (including safety) aboard as well as maps of the Potomac River showing where to avoid and great spots to visit. He was timely and very communicative. He provided different options and locations for pickup. His boat is very well maintained and I wish I owned one. Would 100% rent his boat again.

Boat was fairly simple to operate, everything worked perfectly, and beautiful weather. Ian could not have been more welcoming, timely, and explanatory! All of this made for the perfect anniversary celebration for my wife and myself that we will never forget. I would highly recommend renting from Ian for any occasion, and we certainly will again.

Had an awesome day on the Potomac! The boat made a super smooth ride to Georgetown, where we docked, got lunch, and relaxed for hours. Ian was incredibly flexible on the pickup and drop-off spot, and very responsive on operations questions. We're looking forward to renting out from Ian again!

Can't say how awesome Ian was! Firstly, there was unexpected terrible weather on our scheduled day, and Ian kindly let us switch to the next day no charge, and handled all the details of that reschedule with Boatsetter himself. The day after our trip, (which was amazing!), he checked on the account and there appeared to be a discrepancy with what Boatsetter charged. Ian took the initiative to contact me to make sure I had not been inappropriately charged. Turned out I was NOT mis-charged, but I was very impressed with his level of attention, even after our rental had been completed.

As to the boat itself, it is the perfect vessel to cruise this area. We made a run up to Key Bridge, and then took our time slowly cruising back while enjoying the cherry blossoms. Ian sends out an awesome chart document that he has created with POI/tips/nav. info that is very useful, even if you've boated in this area before. The boat was immaculately clean, fuel was filled, and in great running condition. Lovely vessel for a small group to get out on the water.

We had a thoroughly great time--my parents were in town to see the cherry blossoms, and I wanted a unique way for them to see the trees without dealing with crowds/social distancing, etc., and it turned out perfectly. Highlight of my parents' trip. If I could give ten stars to Ian I would!

Ian was great and so accommodating. He did an excellent job sharing details about the water and walking us through how the boat works. He has thought through every detail and equips you with all you need to feel safe and have fun while out on the water. Hope to rent from him again!

Ian was awesome! He went over all the safety and procedures on his boat and helped us cast off. He was very flexible and communicated great with where to meet, requirements needed, and places to go to to swim and eat by the river.

Amazing time! The boat was impeccably clean, and Ian emailed us and texted us beforehand with the location and navigation maps. He took a photo of us on the boat and texted that to us afterwards, without us even having to ask him. Just an overall great experience. We will definitely rent from him again.
