Mark

My friends and I had a great guys' weekend anchored out on Mark's boat. Mark was easy to coordinate with and gave a good briefing of the vessel before our departure. He is in the process of updating the electronics and doing other repairs to the boat. But, she sailed well and got us safely to our anchorage in Solomons and back.

We rented Mark's Newport 31 on a very short notice for an afternoon trip on the Bay. Mark responded promptly and was very helpful in getting us on the water and very clear with his instructions about the boat.
The boat has aged a bit, but the engine starts and runs smooth and the rigging and instruments are in good shape.
The GPS with plotter is detailed and works perfect as does the depth sounder.
I hope to take her out on the Bay again this coming spring.
This was my first time using boatbound and the experience was entirely smooth and positive.

We had a nice day aboard this Newport 31.

The boat is not fancy. It has a lot of wear and tear, but it sails well and it is comfortable. A few of the smaller lines were a bit chafed, and should be replaced in the next few years.

The head wasn't flushing well at all, but we didn't use it since we went for a day sail. For an overnight, it would need some work.

The GPS navigation system is a nice upgrade, and very useful.

Mark is friendly. He plans to keep updating the boat as needed.
