Boat was great and well appointed. The waters ended up being very choppy and they even accommodated us with a last minute captain that took us to some very cool spots.

The boat was very clean and well equipped. The staff was great, used the Navionics app to show us great places to stop on the boat.

We had a great experience renting this boat in Key West. The navigation of the shallow waters was easy with the help of the marina and the app they had us use. Everyone was really friendly and helpful. I would rent from them again.

One of the best rental places to get a boat. Staff was cool under pressure with the morning events. Someone elses troubles. Other than that it was smooth for us. Will rent a boat again for sure. Christy, Colt, Sandy and gang were spot on cool.

Key West Boats is a terrific outfit! Avoid Boatsetter.com and book with Key West Boats directly. Boatsetter.com is terrible. They advertise boats available and then at the last minute, cancel on you because they can’t find you a captain. Canceled TWICE on us!!! Went directly to the marina instead. Stay away from any boat rentals/ charters from BLUE OCEAN YACHT CHARTERS. Local captains won’t even run their boats!!!

Got us around nicely, no mechanical issues, great boat but an up to date simrad with depth finder would have given this 5 stars. Seats need a little TLC but overall had a great time and would book again.

Cristy the lady that was checking us in was rude. Renting a boat is suppose to be a fun experience and cristy made it more stressful than fun. I originally scheduled the boat rental for 8 hours, since the wind was blowing we decided to cut it short to 4 hours. I was still charged for the full 8 hours after I asked to make sure I was only charged the 4 hours. Also cristy only gave us 1 place to throw the anchor out and enjoy the water. Terrible experience overall

we had issues with the steering hydraulics and in the confusion didn't think about the lily pad we paid for until we were some distance from the marina. After a fun day we forgot to mention it when we returned but called a few days later. The people at Sunset Water sports stated that they issued a credit the day we returned but because the boat was reserved on Boatsetter that's were the credit was issued. It's now been over 12 days and the credit still hasn't been refunded to us.

The boat we ended up getting had an inoperable live well. I was always clear that we were going fishing. No live well? Tf

Terrible unprofessional experience came with the woman(?) tending the store. Blue hair, crabby, unfriendly. Strongly, “Shush!!”ed as I entered store. A sleeping baby? My apologetic response, “Sorry! I didn’t know!”.

Crew was an awesome group that helped explain everything from the boat to navigation tips out on the water. Very friendly and made you feel great about being their customer. I will definitely be using them in our future annual trips back to Key West! It was an epic day on the water, nothing better when in the Keys!!

Showed up in the morning and the employees worked hard informing us about the boat and shallow areas around Key West. She assisted us with downloading an app on our phone that showed us the channels we could go. Boat ran great and was in good shape. I will rent from them again.

The boat cushions were tired, replace them! Before departure the boat required cleaning, dog hair everywhere. There was no on-board working GPS or ropes. The good review provided is generous.

Good tips

Boat performed really well! Overall a fun experience. Could use some TLC on the front seats but other than that it was perfect for the ocean. Chop was a little rough but it took it well!

From the time I got there I was pressured into getting a captain. I kept declining because that isn’t the experience I was looking for. I was not free to go wherever and was told I had to stick to a route that just happened to include the most shallow waters. They used several scare tactics, trying to convince me I was going to run aground. We hired a captain, who immediately went out into the open ocean and avoided all shallow waters. A lot of money for an experience I didn’t want.

The boat was super clean, ran well and was fast.

We rented the boat with the specific intention of taking it to nearby Boca Grande. Nothing in the listing suggested that would be an issue and we were upfront about that plan early on. Crickets. Upon arrival we were handed down a new restriction that we could not travel more than 10 miles away, which eliminated Boca Grande, Marvin shoal... Be prepared for some serious last second limitations. Unethical listing. Other than that, the boat was good and we made the best of it.

Christy and her Team did a great job checking me in introducing me to the Key West specialties of boating like shallow areas. Running a similar business, i know how stressful it can be specially when some renters think its a toy they gonna use and they don't have to listen to instruction and advise.
