“Capt. Howie began sailing at the age of 13. He holds a 50 ton Master Captains License with a Sailing Endorsement. He is also a BoatUS, on the water, powerboat instructor. He has captained commercial tours and private charters, both sail and power, throughout New England and Southwest Florida. Capt. Howie has run fishing charters throughout coastal New England, including Block Island and has sailed throughout the Northeast. He is a graduate of the International Yacht Restoration School having specialized in Marine Systems. Capt. Howie spent 15 years teaching children and young adults power boating, sailing, and fishing as the Waterfront Director at a large New England summer camp. He is personable, patient, and professional and he looks forward to meeting your boating needs.”

Four of us went out with Capt. Howie to follow the J Class boat races in Rhode Island Sound. It was a safe and wonderful day. We all enjoyed seeing the J Class boats and Capt. Howie's knowledge about the race, time, location, spectator area, etc. He had prepared for our charter and was tuned into the VHF channel for the race information. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Capt. Howie and would recommend him and his boat which was seaworthy and comfortable.

We had an awesome late Summer sunset cruise with Captain Howie in Newport. The entire experience was seamless from booking & planning to cruising. The 3.5 - 4 hour ride included cruising both of the Newport and Jamestown harbors with up close viewing of several lighthouses in between. Getting off of the boat briefly and grabbing ice cream in Jamestown was a nice touch. Captain Howie's overall knowledge of the area, the water, and the way his boat handles were very impressive.

We had a great afternoon for our half-day charter with Capt. Howie. He was very friendly and accommodating, especially for with our very last minute trip. He was filled with interesting fun facts and our pup Madison loved that he knew the best spots for getting a good swim in. Would helpful recommend Capt. Howie to anyone.

Capt. Howie made our experience out on the water a great one. He was very knowledgable about the area. He was able to pick us up at a spot that was convenient for us and had a great itinerary planned out that he made after asking what type of boating trip we were planning on. Will definitely use Capt Howie again!

Capt. Howie did a great job. We were conducting a University research project in the Upper Narragansett Bay and Capt. Howie was able to put us "spot on" to our survey sites. A successful project, and we were able to eat fish that evening.
