“Salty water runs through my blood, at least thats what my family says. I started sailing from the young age of 10 with the help of the Dana Point Sea Scouts. At 15, I started working on cattle boats and by 17 I was working on sport fishing boats. I've had sailboats, race boats, wakeboard boats, center consoles and sport fishing boats over my 22+ years on the water, but like every boat owner I learned and continue to learn that there are trade offs to every boat. My most recent boat is a beautiful 17' Center Console made by Sea Hunt which I installed an amazing 90HP 2-Stroke Evinrude Engine on I couldn't be happier. In addition to boating and fishing I have several years of ocean lifeguarding and firefighting experience. I'm responsible and have experience operating a variety of boats in and out of the water. I have a 28ft prokat fishing boat in dana point harbor. I just finished my captains upgrade with a 100ton cert so i can do yatch transports from cabo to la for the large fishing charters. I needed a boat on short notice to go fishing with my buddies. I sent a message to chris and he got back to me right away. Literally with in the hour Chris was giving us a detailed walk though about the boat and we were loading the boat with our gear. The boat was clean and easy to use. We did not have any problem with it on the water. The only problem we had was that we could not catch any fish to put in the boat. It had a fish finder, gps and a stereo that i could hook up my phone too and listen to some music when we were cruising around. Another good thing was that we were able to get our own fuel which saved us alot some cash. If you need a boat to rent i highly recommend this one. Chris was easy to talk too and even gave us some pointers of where to go fishing.

Another great experience with Chris and his Place at Sea. This time we caught some fish! The boat was in great condition and he was very flexible with our pickup and drop off time. I would recommend contacting Chris for a great day of fishing while the fishing is good!

Chris was a great person to rent from. Boat was well maintained and perfect for a day of fishing. His pickup spot is a short 5 minutes from Dana Harbor so your not wasting any time travelling and can get out on the water fast. GPS has all the fishing spots for easy navigation and other spots of his as well. The boat is fully equipped with everything you need. Easy as Launch, bait barge, fish!!!! Thanks again Chris!!!

No worries renting from Chris. He was super flexible and easy to work with. Like borrowing a boat from your buddy. He even let us borrow some fishing stuff. Great boat for a day of fishing or cruising the open water. The engine has all the power you need. Nice docks and wash down area at Dana Point.
Even though the fishing was lousy, we had a good time.
