We had a wonderful time on Dixon's boat, going to Catalina Island for the week-end.
Dixon made a complete tour of the boat with me and answered all my questions. He prepared a detailed worksheet with the important information about the boat so I could refer to it while sailing without him. The boat is in accordance with her description, functional and in good condition. I would definitely like to sail on her again if I come back to Los Angeles. Thank you Dixon!

The Laurie Grace is a terrific boat. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in a trip to Catalina. A friend and I rented the boat for a weekend trip to Isthmus on Catalina. The boat is exactly as advertised. It's clean, well maintained and well appointed, making it a pleasure to use. As stated in the description, the boat does not smell like 30 year old boat which is amazing and a big plus. The boat has easy to use electronics with AIS and Autohelm which made the trip across the channel a relaxing day on the water. The sails and rigging are in good shape an easy to use. Dixon was friendly and made the check out process easy. He has created a detail manual explaining all the systems on the boat that came in very handy when lighting the stove and using the fresh water system. There is free public parking near where you board the boat making the process even easier.

The Laurie Grace is a perfect option for renting a sailboat to go to Catalina in the 30 foot range. I'm looking forward to sailing on her again.

Had a great trip three day trip out to Catalina on the Laurie Grace. The boat handles great, was easy to single hand, and had everything you could need.

Dixon couldn't have been been more accommodating. It was a great decision to rent from him. Can't wait to do it again.

Dixon was great and the boat was everything we had hoped for!

From the quick initial reply to the very thorough briefing and walkthrough to the actual boat, our experience with Dixon and his Catalina 30 was top notch. We took the Laurie Grace from Oxnard harbor to the backside of Santa Cruz Island for two nights during midweek and it was perfect conditions and a ton of fun!

This was my first time chartering a boat from an individual (and through BoatBound) vs from a sailing center and it was an excellent decision. Dixon was quick to answer any questions we had and he wrote out an extensive guide and thorough checklist to use while we were on the boat which answered all of our questions. The boat is in great shape and clearly has been cared for by Dixon. The boat smelled great (which can be rare) and the berths were spacious and more than enough room for the three of us. I'm looking forward to chartering from Dixon again in the future!

We had a great time with the family aboard Dixon's sailboat! He was nice and spent his time to help me get comfortable getting to know the sailboat. I practiced docking the boat 5x with him. The boat was clean and nice. All the sails worked great! The autopilot was a definite plus! Also the GPS system was perfect for sailing up the coast from Ventura harbor to Oxnard harbor and back. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
