“Jan Koehler is an accomplished sailor whose passion for the sea began in her hometown of Honolulu, Hawaii when she was a teenager. With years of experience, navigating coastal and open waters, Jan has sailed extensively from the vibrant harbors of Sydney, Australia to two decades commanding her own vessel in the dynamic winds of the San Francisco Bay as a member of the Corinthian Yacht Club in San Francisco. Jan relocated back in Honolulu six years ago. Jan devote's her time to sailing as often as possible, embracing both recreational and skill base challenges on the water. Jan is NASBLA certified to operate vessels in Hawaii and officially registered with US Coast Guard and Hawaii DLNR. Jan is a member of the Hawaii Yacht Club and also the Waikiki Yacht Club. Jan volunteers for the Transpac helping vessels navigate docks once they arrive in Honolulu. Jan takes safety seriously and always wears a life jacket aboard moving vessels.”
