“Captain Mark Bettis has been sailing for 40 years, and began sailboat racing at age 12 on a Ranger 26 in Bellingham, WA. He has sailed and raced extensively on San Francisco Bay, including several seasons as owner of the j/29 “Smokin’ J.” He worked in the fishing industry in Alaska and spent a few summers cruising the beautiful waters of the Pacific Northwest and British Columbia. He is also is a PADI certified SCUBA instructor. Mark now owns a 37 foot cruising boat, and plans to sail around the world in the coming years.”
