“As a boy, helped father build a 26' fiberglass sloop in our backyard in Los Angeles in the early part of the '60s and spent summers off the coast of Southern California and Channel Islands. In the fall of 67 departed Los Angeles for a five year sail around the world at the age of ten. After seven years I was kicked out of paradise and sent back to the US for school after sailing the West coast of Mexico, French Polynesia, Cook Islands, Nuie, Tonga, Fiji, New Hebrides /Vanuatu, Solomon Islands. My father continued on to Japan and then down to Hong Kong where he eventually sold our intrepid little sloop.”
