Had a great day out on the water taking my three little girls and rest of the family. Did some sight seeing, saw dolphins, some fishing, and tubing. Renters should be experienced/comfortable operating a boat as there is a tight bridge if you want out in the main water and some shallow areas to navigate but we had no trouble. Fred was very helpful. Will be back!

Good boat and all we expected

We had a wonderful time. Fred is very nice and helpful. This was my first time renting a boat and the experience was trouble free. The boat ran great and Fred is a great owner.

Fred was Great. Explained all functions of the boat. While fishing at the Galveston Causeway the US Coast Guard conducted an inspection of Fred's boat and found no deficiencies. I would rent from Fred again.

My kids and I had a long fun day of bay fishing with Fed's boat. He let us pick it up early in the morning. He was very through in showing me the boat's features. The Garmin with the Hook-N-Line GPS digital map helped us get to a fishing spot right out of the gate and move directly to others the rest of the day. We caught fish at almost every location we chose. At the end of our fishing day it was especially useful making sure we were heading back to Fred's.
We are going to rent Fred's boat again, maybe for tubing the lagoons nearby.

Our experience with Fred was awesome. From pickup to drop-off, everything was a breeze. He had everything ready to go at 7am. Every piece of equipment we had asked for was waiting on us. He even helped us carry our things down from the car. On top of all that, the boat was perfect. All we were doing was cruising around the bay, but it is set up perfectly for fishing as well. As a matter of fact, I'll be renting again to do just that. Give Fred a try and you will be glad you did.

The boat was awesome! The bay was choppy today and the boat handled it well. Fishing was fair but I did catch a really nice 24” red drum. Fred was great to work with and an all around easy going guy. I will recommend this experience to all my friends.

Fred was great! He showed me how to use the navigation to get where I wanted to go. The boat is very nice. My family really enjoyed spending the day on the water in Galveston Bay, Kemah, Seabrook, and Clear Lake. The boat was in great shape and Fred offers a fair price. Fred's boat is located too far from the inter-coastal. The real problem was Fred's boat. In the afternoon a storm was approaching so we started back to his house. The steering broke and we were stranded. The storm came with 40kt winds and torrential rains.I truly felt our lives were in danger. After the storm we called Fred and he came and met us in his other boat. Then asked us to help him tow his boat back to a marina. It took 3 hours to do so. Afterwards we asked for a discount. He said we had full use of the boat so no discount. Contacted Boatsetter and they agreed we should have received a discount. They refunded their fee and contacted Fred. He still said no. I would use caution when dealing with him. Boatsetter did the right thing. Fred did not...

What a great experience! We rented from Fred very last minute and he was nothing but helpful and accommodating. He answered all my questions right away and before i knew it we had a boat reserved for the upcoming weekend. The boat itself was very nice. Well maintained, well equipped and ran great. Fred had life jackets for us and even drove us out of the channel (and picked us up) since there was some moderately difficult spaces to navigate. From there he made sure we felt comfortable with the boat, made sure we knew how to use the navigation and gave us tips for getting around the area. Fred also gave us his cell number and was available all day for any questions or concerns. Overall this was a great value, an easy and pleasant transaction and a day we will never forget. We will be back to see Fred for sure and would recommend him to others as well! Thanks again, Fred! We had a wonderful time!

Had a great time with the rental from Fred. I did 2 days back to back. He had the boat in tip top shape, provided ice for the live well, a map detailing the in and outs of West Bay and provided guidance on some of his favorite fishing spots. Would definitely go back.

CLASS ACT BOAT RENTER/PERSON & VERY RELIABLE /ACCOMMODATING BOAT. . .
I knew the weekend was going to be a fair one for boating/fishing out of Galveston and I needed some buddy time with some close friends of mine. I found the boatbound website and found Mr. Fred P., and his great/well-to-do boat a Sea Hunt Triton 202. We were a party of 3, and Mr. Fred accommodated us through his initial contact and well through the day after the rental with his fine customer service. Mr. Fred is a class act and not to mention provided us with a very accommodating and reliable boat with which we had a "AWESOME & MEMORABLE" day on the water to remember it all by. It does make it even better that we caught fish!!! Mr. Fred mentioned places we could try and what to watch out for as we head out of his boat slip and beyond. Fred is a stand up guy and easy to deal with. Days before we took the boat out he messaged me of the conditions and to put on extra layers since it will be windy+gust. When we took the boat out, the tide was too low to get back and we were stuck for 4 hours, updated Fred on the situation and he was very understanding. We were lucky to flag a John boat over to tow us out of the marsh into a deeper section of the bay. When we brought the boat back fred was more worried about our safty since it was windy cold when we were stuck for those extra 4 hours. I can't thank Fred enough for being understanding while we were in a situation that could of went south fast.

Fred was very accommodating. The boat was very reliable. And very fuel efficient. We rented the boat for a full day but due to the heat and my wife getting over heated we went in early, Fred offered for us to go cool off and come back later that evening and finish our trip. I booked a rental with Fred recently to take my son out for a day of fishing in West Bay, and we had the best time. Fred responded very timely to any questions I had before the day of our trip, which was very helpful with our preparation. Prior to our launch on the big day, he patiently showed us both basic and important detailed info about his boat, and was extremely friendly in the process. Fred is truly a great guy and avid boater who enjoys seeing others have pleasant and enjoyable experiences out on the water as much as he does himself, and you can see that. His GPS/sonar unit even had multiple, pre-loaded navigational paths for getting safely around West Bay which made our trip that much easier, and certainly safer. We had no problems of any kind with the boat during our trip, and we will most definitely rent from Fred again. Thank you Fred!

The boat was nice and ran well. Great gas mileage also. The water was low which caused problems while trying to plane until we arrived at the channels. I would give a better rating but the experience was not so great because of the water levels. Getting from the dock to the channels took some time but the open water experience was great.

Fred did a fantastic job the boat was ready to roll full of gas first thing in the morning and everything we needed was ready ( life jackets ect) we came to fish and the fishing was off due to a cold front but that's fishing definitely not Fred or the boats fault boat rides great we had some good chop on the water and no problems for the deep v that said the boat will go in very shallow water when I come back I will definitely rent from Fred again

I could not have asked for a better boating experience than the one I received when I rented from Mr. Fred. He was very accommodating, and extremely helpful from the beginning to the end. I was not to familiar with the waters in the area so he showed on maps and on the gps where all the good fishing spots were. The boat itself was in great shape and it handled very well. We stayed pretty dry most of the ride so that was a plus. all in all it was a great experience and I would recommend renting from Mr. Fred to anybody!!!!

Fred and his wife were knowledgeable and amazing hosts. This was our first time renting but won't be the last. Learning to navigate the boat out of the bay can be tricky and as we learned, quite expensive as we bent the prop blade. However, Fred was understanding and I had no problem paying for the damage. Lesson learned.

Fred does great job

Everything worked out well. The water was a bit low so it was harder to get the boat out to the Intercoastal, but that’s not Fred’s fault. Overall, the boat was super clean and worked well. It was a bit of a maze to get the boat out, but he had a gps system that made the course easy to follow and made sure to give us proper guidance.

Captain Fred rocks! We want to come back soon!
