Boat Rental Captain Success Story: Meet Captain Larry!
In his first season as a Boatsetter Captain, Captain Larry kicked off a budding new side to his 18-year career by joining Boatsetter. Captain Larry is a professional captain who specializes in both motor and sail vessels ranging from 30' to 295' in size and up to 100 tons. With Boatsetter, Captain Larry has been able to connect with a new group of boat owners and gained new access to boat rental work. On a personal level, he's truly enjoyed meeting Boatsetter customers who range from experienced boaters to those who are new to the boating lifestyle. He has a passion for interacting with interesting people and helping them create amazing memories out on the water. A few Boatsetter boat rentals standout in Captain Larry's first boating season with the Miami-based tech startup includes: The 2016 Louis Vuitton America's Cup in Chicago: Captain Larry was at the helm with 12 excited Boatsetters as they attended the qualifier races for the first-ever America's Cup on fresh water this summer. This historic event (obviously) was best taken in from the water and Boatsetter along with Captain Larry were able to make that happen for a group of lucky boaters! The 2016 Chicago Air & Water Show: Another memorable Boatsetter boat rental anchored right off North Avenue Beach in the city of Chicago in the center of the action at this year's Chicago Air & Water Show. With prime viewing of all the action, guests felt like they could reach up and touch the planes as they maneuvered right above the boat! Captain Larry shares a few tips from his career spanning almost two decades for newer captains....
- "Always remember you are there for the guests! If they exit the boat at the end of their boat rental with a huge smile on their faces, you've done your job!"
- "Variety is the spice of life! Keep things interesting and you'll build a customer base that will keep coming back time after time."
