After a long cold winter, there is nothing better than seeing those first flowers of spring bloom. Spring officially starts March 20 and if you want to make the most out of it than there is nothing better than heading to one of these amazing places to see all the colors of the seasons at their peak!

  1. Cherry Blossoms in DC.

Almost everybody is familiar with the old tale of George Washington chopping down his father’s cherry tree. And we cannot tell a lie that there is no better place to catch them in bloom than Washington D.C. You can charter a boat up the Potomac River and really get to see the colors in full effect.

Flowers aren’t necessarily the first thing that comes to mind when we think of Texas. But everything is bigger in Texas including the flowers. The bluebonnets are some of the most common flowers of the Lonestar state and they great to see either when you are riding on horseback or cruising through the sea.

Poppies have such a mysterious history. From the poppy seed bagel to other less savory uses, these lovely flowers brighten up the central and northern parts of California each year in a wonderful array of colors. You can sail up the California coast and then head inland to wine country to really get the best taste of them.
