Terrific experience overall. Kai was a pleasure to work with. He was communicative throughout the entire process; he arrived on time and thoroughly explained how to operate the boat; and he was waiting for as we pulled into the dock. He made it EASY. The boat is in great condition and operates smoothly. It was a lot of fun and would happily rent with again. I highly recommend him to anyone considering a boat rental in SD.

Great time on the San Diego Bay! Last minute idea and first time using Boatsetter and glad we did! Kai was great, quick to respond and very accommodating as our original plans changed and needed to move dates. Kai is very knowledgeable and showed us everything before we headed out and was at the dock ready to go when we finished. Great boat that operated very well!

We had such a great time out with Kai! He knew the best spots on the bay to hang out and swim or do water sports. His boat is super clean and he was such a great person to take us out!

Kai was the best host! He was the coolest & kindest on & off the water. Over Labor Day weekend, traffic blocked us from getting across the bridge, so Kai went out of his way to meet us at a more convenient spot. He even adjusted our rental start and end times to make sure we got the full experience. We couldn’t have asked for a better boat owner. The boat was spotless, the ride was amazing & the party speakers were perfect! Huge thanks to Kai—we had the best time & will definitely rent again!

Kai was great, and the boat was great. He was on time, responsive and friendly. 6 of us went to Glorietta Bay and ate lunch anchored off the golf course for my birthday. It was perfect for a boat enthusiast. The Yamaha jet boat is really fun and comfortable. San Diego Bay has so much to see. I can imagine renting this boat again and having a different experience.
The California Boater Card was easy. It took a few hours to do the NASBLA boat training. It was really well done and Comprehensive.

Kai was great. On time, friendly, and very helpful showing you around his boat. The Yamaha boat along with the tubing was very fun experience for the family. Highly recommend renting Kai Yamaha. The fact that the boat has no propeller in the back makes Kai boat perfect for tubing, or just jumping off the back of the boat with out hurting yourself with any type of blade.

We lost our initial reservation the night before due to another renter having an accident. I was in a tizzy. I reached out to Ki about 7pm the night before needing the boat. He was responsive, calm, kindly answered all my questions. He was very communicative the next day and timely. Boat was in the water waiting for us! Wow, just wow. The boat operated seamlessly, with all of the PFDs for the whole family. Despite only 19ft, this boat behaved very well on the SD Bay. What stands out as a huge positive for our reservation is the owner. From the first inquiry, he was extremely helpful and courteous, helping to guide us to meet any requirements as well as recommended times for best enjoyment in the bay. With such a trusting attitude, more people like him on this platform would be a win for all members.

Boat experience was awesome. It was a very smooth ride when we were cruising around. Kai takes very good care of his boat. It was very clean! Also a pretty quick boat too. He didn’t do max power because we had the canopy on but we got to see it go pretty fast and the boat handles very well on the waves! Thank you so much!

Kai was a super chill captain. It was my boyfriend’s birthday and I surprised him with this boat trip. Kai took us around mission bay and made it very romantic. He showed us around some cool spots, got to see some seals, and some other very cool sea life! He went fast when we asked, and drove slow when we wanted to chill. Had an amazing day out on the water for my son's birthday! Kai was very responsive, answering all my questions. It was very easy to just hop on the boat and get going. The boat was perfect, everything clean and stocked with life vests/rope/pump which we used for tubing. We are locals and plan to rent again from Kai.
