The Boat Trailering 101 course takes a deep dive into every essential aspect of trailering. Conducted right on your trailer, this hands-on experience ensures that you’re prepared to handle real-world scenarios. 

The course kicks off with a warm introduction from our experienced captain, accompanied by a comprehensive safety briefing to lay the foundation for a safe and informed learning journey. Throughout the program, we will cover vital topics such as:

  • Pre-trailering checklist to ensure preparedness
  • Loading and securing the boat onto the trailer for safe transport
  • Launching and retrieving the boat smoothly at the ramp
  • Mastering maneuvers with the trailer attached
  • Towing techniques for a secure and comfortable ride
  • Understanding proper ramp etiquette for a seamless launch

Course requirements and preparation

To make the most of the Boat Trailering 101 course, students are required to bring their own trailer, boat, and towing vehicle.
