Summers in Canyon Lake are usually hot and humid with temperatures ranging from 85 to 95 degrees during the day. During the winter months, temperatures drop down to 50-60 degrees while nights can be even cooler.From March to May, the milder spring weather can make it a very pleasant season for boaters with temperatures from 60-75 degrees while Fall is possibly the most pleasant time to visit with less humidity and temperatures typically ranging from 70-85 degrees.Avg. Cruise and ExploreAt 8200 acres, Canyon Lake may be a little smaller than other area lakes, but it still has plenty to offer boaters. The lake has 80 miles of coastline to explore. There are plenty of beautiful places to explore while cruising, although there are plenty of opportunities for fishing too. Canyon Lake’s incredible water clarity also makes it a popular destination for divers.The lake is ringed with boat launch ramps, however, it’s a good idea to check on the water level to make sure a specific ramp is accessible as some are temporarily closed when levels drop.There have been some reports of invasive species in Canyon Lake so remember to take part in the Clean, Drain, Dry program to help stop the spread of unwanted organisms. Party CoveCanyon Lake is full of coves and beaches to explore but one of the most popular boating destinations is Party Cove. Located on the northwest shore close to where the Guadeloupe River empties into Canyon Lake, the cove is a favorite with local boaters and visitors alike.Tucked away in one of Canyon Lake’s many arms, Party Cove can attract 200 or more boats on a busy weekend.
