There are so many great places to fish that you could make incredible trip by hopping from one to another. From the cold waters of the northern Atlantic to the tropical Indian ocean, we are going to show you some of the best spots around the world to charter a boat, cast off and do some amazing saltwater fishing!

1) The Florida Keys

Key West

These are ten great suggestions where any fisherman would be in paradise. And nothing kicks of our list better than the Florida Keys!  They are easy to reach, incredibly beautiful and filled with some of the best fish in the world.  Look for snapper, Wahoo, and marlin here!

2) Cairns, Australia

Forget about the long flight because here is where you can go after the stuff of legends, the black marlin! It is a true saltwater fishing challenge and can weigh over 1,500 pounds and swim at 70 miles per hour! If you are looking for this incredible fish, there is no better spot than Cairns.

3) The Thai Islands

Thai islands

Why not combine beach paradise with great fishing? Off the coast of Thailand’s famous islands like Koh Samui and Koh Samet is some best fishing you can do. The area is teeming with a huge variety of fish like tuna, barracuda and mackerel.

4) Mexico

Mexico

Some of the best fishing is in our own backyard. This is your cheapest option for getting a taste of some great food, culture, and saltwater fishing. Off the coast of Cozumel and Cancun are a collection of islands where you can easily find huge fish without trolling for hours!

5) Amazon Basin, Brazil

Amazon Basin

This is right on the light between saltwater fishing and brackish, but here it is all about the adventure. By now you have probably guessed what fish we are talking about: Piranha! Since you can’t swim here, why not throw out a line? They don’t make bad eating either!

6) Oostduinkerke, Belgium

Shrimpers on horseback

Let’s mix it up a little and switch fish for something else: shrimp. This spot off the southwest coast of Belgium is a shrimper’s paradise where you can scoop them up by the bucketful! And yes, there is also plenty of great fishing to do here as well!

7) Halong Bay, Vietnam

Halong Bay

Halong Bay is a UNESCO World Heritage Spot and is famous for its beauty alone. But it is also an incredible place to go on the hunt for squid. With only a bamboo rod, a lamp and a net, you could hook up to thirty in an hour!

8) Alaska

Better get that winter coat on even during the short summer season! It is always nippy that far north! Alaska is not for the faint of heart. This is for the serious saltwater fisherman who is equipped and ready for some rough waters, cold winds and big game!

9) New England

If you are not quite ready for the bitter winds of Alaska then why not head off to the much more hospitable waters of the coast of New England. Here you can find cod and salmon and even though the water temperature never gets much above chilly, things are much calmer and the fishing season is much longer.

10) Southern California
