Amazing 2022 Thresher Center Console - Family, Fishing, and Relaxing boat photo Amazing 2022 Thresher Center Console - Family, Fishing, and Relaxing
If you are looking for a flawless day on the San Diego Bay, look no further. Paul and Abby are the gold standard for Boatsetter hosts;incredibly gracious, communicative, and made the entire check-in/out process seamless. The boat itself is top-tier: spotlessly clean, mechanically sound, and clearly well-maintained. We spent the entire day fishing with the family and it was easily one of the best experiences we’ve had on the water. Reliability and comfort were 10/10. Absolutely booking again!!!

Adventure-Ready 20ft Trophy Bayliner | Fishing, Swimming & Family Fun boat photo Adventure-Ready 20ft Trophy Bayliner | Fishing, Swimming & Family Fun
I liked the fact that Dana answered my inquires right away on email. Then Rafael (her husband) was very prompt texting me about dropping off the boat. The boat ran good and I used the boat for 2 days. Rafael met me at the boat ramp on Sunday at exactly the time we planned. He was easy to get a hold of. There were no problems with the boat and everything ran well.

Nice little guy that gets the job done. The owner was punctual and very friendly. The location is absolutely perfect for swimming, or fishing for bass and cat, among other things. You can't beat the price. I'll be back.

We had a wonderful experience today on this yacht. Everything was exactly as shown in the pictures — the yacht was beautiful, clean, and very well maintained. The service was outstanding, and the entire crew made sure we had an incredible time from start to finish. If you want to have a truly amazing experience on the water, I highly recommend booking this yacht with Carlos. You will not be disappointed!

Top questions

It depends, communicate with your charter beforehand. Often licenses are taken care of by the charter, but not always. You'll need to get a license if you're fishing by yourself. Check local regulations to comply.

This will vary by location, it's best to talk with your charter captain or boat owner (if renting) to find out. Most charters will have the species they target on their boat details.

When fishing with a fishing charter, you will not need to bring your own fishing gear, unless you are instructed otherwise. Some anglers will chose to bring their own gear to fish with, but that is not necessary. For a fishing boat rental, you'll need to bring gear, unless the rental specifies they have fishing gear. It's best to coordinate with the owner if so.

If you're in the legal limits, go for it! Consult local fish and wildlife regulations.

It's always good to show up 10-15 min early, and communicate with the boat owner about specific meeting or pickup details.

Your fishing license, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, snacks/water, a small cooler if desired, and weather-appropriate layers.
