Boatsetter proudly announces its strategic partnership with Rec Boat Holdings, LLC—part of Groupe Bénéteau. The partnership is a collaborative effort to increase boat ownership, boat sales and overall recreational boating interest.

Working together, the companies, who are both leaders in their respective categories, will cross-promote and optimize synergies in the marketplace. A singular message promoting boating at all levels will be rolled out through direct and digital marketing channels. Boatsetter and Rec Boat Holdings plan to strategically partner with leaders in the boating industry to further stimulate interest, with a specific focus on a younger audience.

“Boatsetter is focused on revitalizing boating. By expanding accessibility and improving the affordability of ownership, Boatsetter can introduce more young people to boating,” said Roch Lambert, Rec Boat Holdings president. “We’re very excited about the opportunities that peer-to-peer boat-sharing has to offer our dealer networks and future generations of boaters.”

As the consumer weighs the choice of boat ownership, Boatsetter will become a valuable resource to Rec Boat Holdings dealers. The safe, free option of boat-sharing through boatsetter.com can shut down the potential boat buyers uncertainties on affordability. Renting the boat out when it’s not in use is the perfect way for an owner to offset the costs associated with ownership.

Another strategic gain for Rec Boat Holdings, in the partnership with Boatsetter, is: dealers can list both new and used boats on boatsetter.com to help build brand loyalty and gain exposure for their inventory. The boat sharing option will generate a new revenue stream as well as allow customers to try it before they buy it!

“Rec Boat Holdings is an industry leader with a reputation for quality within the industry and four solid brands that are well known by consumers,” noted Boatsetter CEO Jaclyn Baumgarten. “Together, we’re poised to invigorate the boating industry – with the end goal of making boating a better experience for more consumers.”

Rec Boat Holdings, LLC is a group of the boat brands Four Winns®, Glastron®, Wellcraft® and Scarab®. Groupe Bénéteau acquired RBH in 2014.
