Boatsetter, the leading online peer-to-peer boat-sharing marketplace that is doing for boating what Uber and Airbnb have done for transportation and accommodations, welcomes Douglas ‘Sandy’ Warner, former chair and CEO of J.P. Morgan and chair of JPMorgan Chase, to its advisory board, where he will serve as a special advisor to the CEO and as a board observer.

In addition to his leadership at J.P. Morgan and JPMorgan Chase, Warner served as a director of General Electric, Anheuser-Busch, and Motorola. He was an advisor to Carlyle Group, NTT in Japan and for 15 years as a member of the Board of Counselors of The Bechtel Group. He is currently chairman of the board of managers and overseers of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, a member of the Yale Corporation, Yale University’s governing body, and chairman of the Yale Investment Committee.

In this special role as a board observer with Boatsetter, Warner will advise the CEO on the funding strategy, assess the overall business strategy, as well as help the company build a healthy growth evolution as it scales.

“Having Mr. Warner as an advisor to Boatsetter is a privilege and an honor,” said Jaclyn Baumgarten, CEO of Boatsetter.com. “It gives me and my management team an opportunity to interact with and tap into his vast experience and innovative business mind.”

Boatsetter has rapidly expanded its services across the U.S. and to new markets worldwide. The Aventura, Florida headquartered company allows its users to rent boats of all sizes, with or without a captain and ensures a carefree experience by providing the industry’s best insurance and 24/7 on-the-water assistance.
