St. Augustine’s Most Popular Experiences

St Augustine lives and breathes boating. Here are a few things that you can get up to both on and off the water.

Enjoy an Evening in the Warm Winter
Luckily for us boat enthusiasts, Florida is warm enough to enjoy boating all year round. If you head down in December, you should check out the annual Regatta of Lights. On the second Saturday of December, a flotilla of boats passes by, illuminating spectacular lighting features to celebrate the festive period.

Go Deep-Sea Fishing
There are plenty of migratory and local species of fish swimming by St. Augustine, such as sailfish, mahi mahi, and blue marlin. If you charter yourself a fishing boat, you can head out to the deeper waters in search of the ultimate trophy fish.

Take a Sunset Sail
You get some stunning sunsets in this area of the world and it is worth extending your St Augustine boat rental into the evening to witness this. You’ll see it slowly collapse behind the continental U.S. as you enjoy a drink before heading back to the marina.

St Augustine’s Best Bodies of Water

Roll Down the Matanzas River

Steer your St Augustine boat rental towards the south as you wind your way down the Matanzas River. Down here is a wonderful ecosystem where you can come across a great variety of birdlife and creatures that inhabit the swamp - not to mention the great fishing!

See the Best of Nature

If you take your St Augustine boat rental northwards and inland you’ll come to Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve. Here is a great place to take your camera and binoculars to see what creatures you can spy and make some great memories observing.

Check Out Some History!

The St. Augustine Lighthouse is an active, working lighthouse that was built sometime between 1871 and 1874. This unique piece of history is a must-see with your boat rental.
