Stephen and his wife were great renters. They were on time both pre and post rental. They had a little hiccup out on the water, but we worked together to get it fixed within 5 minutes. They inquired last minute, but I was able to accommodate to the best of my abilities. Thanks for using my boat and you are always welcome to use her again. Thanks!
What a wonderful experience! Josh was so very easy to work with and made our day on the boat extremely enjoyable! We will definitely be using Boat Bound and Josh again in the future!
First off, would like to say the boat owner was very accommodating. We were supposed to take the boat out one weekend but due to inclement weather, we were able to go out the following weekend. We did expect the boat to come with the canopy, but unfortunately the owner was not aware that the canopy wasn't available (not her fault). Boat works fine and has a radio. No GPS (if your're wondering). Does great on gas, so dont worry about it. Just a heads up, the marina charges a good $2 extra per gallon because its ethanol free. If you are a new boat renter, I would not recommend renting a jetboat as these boats are not for someone who doesnt know how to maneuver a boat. Location is perfect for bay travel or heading out to Nixon Sandbar. I sure hope the owner continues to rent her boat out as I will be looking forward to renting from them in the near future.
We had a great overnight trip on Pier's Bristol 40 over to St Michael's. Positives: -Classic and beautiful Bristol, sailed well -Sails and rigging in generally very good shape (Stbd frayed jib sheet should be replaced) -Engine was easy to run and had no problems -Solid anchors and plenty of chain -Space for overnight was fine for 6, has v berth and 4 bunks- but note will not fit 7 unless it's a nice night for sleeping in the cockpit -Pier was very accommodating of our schedule and communicated promptly Negatives: -Cabin wasn't cleaned before we came aboard, not terrible but dirty in some areas like head and galley and personal items lying around -Pier was unable to meet us at the dock, which is a bit dodgy w a boat of that size, mostly for him as the owner! -No depth sounder ?! This is the Chesapeake Bay we're talking about -Holding tank and head really need to be cleaned and odors dealt with -We didn't have problems, but make sure diesel tank is full and install a simple fuel gauge -Stove wasn't hooked up (though we didn't try) -Blue tape everywhere on deck- someone was in the middle of some woodwork, but not a big deal This was Pier's very first rental, so totally understandable that there would be some minor bugs. We had a great time and I would rent this boat again. Currently it is great for a daysail (apart from depth sounder), but before another overnight I would make sure a few of the issues mentioned above have been addressed.
AMAZING! John is top notch and exceeded our expectations. The process was so easy and the boat was loaded with a blue tooth stereo, GPS, depth finder, and a cooler full of ice. This boat was a breeze to operate. I sold my boat 3 weeks ago and I'm thrilled to have this resource. Thank you, thank you, thank you John.
